5oz silver round and coin storage

I am looking for a storage solution for a number of 5oz silver rounds and coins (ATBs and Perth lunars) I have. The solution, probably a box or boxes, should be heavy duty and no more than five inches high so that it will fit in a safe deposit box. Currently, the rounds and coins are loose in the safe deposit box.

I have looked at the guardhouse web site but they offer nothing that matches the size of the largest coin, approx 3 1/4 inches. A coin storage album will not work given the different sizes between the rounds and coins.

Thanks, Wally

    Tupperware or similar.
Food safe so it will keep out moisture and problem gasses.
    Comes in many sizes.
Check them out for your needs.
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Got quoins?
  • There are tubes and monster boxes for the ATB 5 ozers on eBay, Provident and Apmex.
For the Perh I don't know but I have seen tubes for the 5 oz Libertads, maybe they fit.

wouldn't large rounds, 5 oz and larger, be more convenient if they were rectangular?
with rounds, you're also going to be paying to store some air.

  • Thanks to all for the responses. I forgot to mention that the rounds and coins are currently in air-tite capsules.

I hadn't thought about the Tupperware solution. Good idea and I will look into it further.

The ATB monster box is also a good solution but a little large for my safe deposit box.
