Sold out, 2014 Proof Roosevelt First Spouse

Sorry if i missed another post, but judging from the lack of anyone caring about the series, I doubt there was one image

Looks to be sold out. Lowest proof mintage. Good job mint, might actually spark some interest into the series other than the just bullion sales from APMEX.

$2,500 on ebay

BST Transactions (as the seller): Collectall, GRANDAM, epcjimi1, wondercoin, jmski52, wheathoarder, jay1187, jdsueu, grote15, airplanenut, bigole

No clue. I just was scouring for deals, saw the price and about spit out my tea. Check that it was actually sold out and decided to post here.

I'll stick with the liberty subset...

There's some raw ones on eBay, if people are interested, that are way less than the $2500

The current US Mint listing shows 2,377 sold. Not sure if that includes the very last that sold. This number is less than the 2013 versions, which are still for sale. Guess the Mint will have a tough time selling the rest of those now that everyone knows that a 2014 coin has a lower mintage.

The unc version shows 1,734 sold. Should not be too far behind being sold out.

Man... sorry for being so politically incorrect... but that just seems like an ugly coin... surely they could have used a more flattering version??

Looks like 0 to me as its a multiple coin listing which usually states how many have sold when they sell.

To me, these are barely worth the US Mint selling price much less what this seller is asking.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

2012 Harrisons were also low mintage coins which I have in MS and PF unopened from the U.S. Mint with no price appreciation since 2012. Most of the 2012s were in the 2300 mintage range also.

I gave up on buying these for the low mintage. I am on the fence as to whether to buy Jackie this year too.

Here's an Elanor Proof at $1600 BIN.

Elanor PCGS DCAM FS 70 $1600

    Not my coin btw.

Sorry but this is incorrect. A quick search for sold listing on ebay shows multiple have sold around 1500 recently.

I've perhaps not paid close enough attention to the proofs but I thought it was the low mintage UNC's which bought the big $ (Hayes, Garfield), not the proofs in this series.

Not necessarily sold out. The Mint lists it as "Out of Stock," which it has been for weeks.

There are several cheaper on eBay (not mine).

    $1188 raw.

    $1295 NGC 69.

I also wondered about the wording "out of stock", since some other items are listed as "sold out". Not sure what the difference is, if any. Regardless, they are not able to mint any more for the 2014 (or the 2013) dated spouses. Unless that has now changed....

Looks like a better rendition of Eleanor than FDR got on the presidential dollar.

Agree 100%. As has been discussed numerous time since the Mint announced the back order/out of stock/sold out terms out of stock is NOT sold out. Sold out is sold out. Why do those of you who say it's sold out think that? Note that several of the '13s are still on sale.

Also, as I mentioned above. I don't think that the Spouse Proof keys (whichever the key is a a given time) have brought the kind of money that the UNC keys have - i.e., Julia Tyler (I sold an MS70FS Tyler for $4K a couple of years ago), Garfield, Hayes, etc.

I've been chasing the low UNC Mintages for several years. Fortunately, I've been able to sell a prior key as soon as it was clear that another will take over. This is an expensive game nonetheless.

Ever if this one is the new key there are several years left...

When it isnt even available for purchase (not with words saying its back ordered or out of stock, im talking it has been removed from the gold spouses for sale) is when I would assume it is sold out. This is currently the case.

It's still out of stock. Can they make more? Elenor Roosevelt oos

If I search gold coins on the mints site and I check the box to show out of stock items, it still is not showing up for me. Your direct link works, but if you didnt have that link saved, do you have access to it just navigating from the mints items for sale?

I believe that Mint policy does not allow coins to be struck bearing a previous year's date. But there might be some additional coins stored somewhere that have not been released to current stock and are not available for sale at the moment. We won't know for sure until either the coin is put back on sale or a "sold out" message appears.
