I haven't submitted directly for awhile, and thought I would give it a whirl for some crossovers. I'll share my comments and rational behind these coins below.

The first coin is the 09-S VDB, was NGC 63BN. I know the flecking on the reverse is a nuisance, but the obverse sure looked nice to me. Crossed at same grade:
The 1851-O 3 cent silver I have no image on. It was ANACS small format holder 62, I went for 60, it graded 61.
The 1872 half dime was a NGC fatty and also CAC, NGC 64. Attempted to cross same grade, DNC
The 1942-D dime I thought had a shot at a 67+. It was NGC 67FB, crossed same grade.
1942-D PCGS 67FB Link to PIC
The 1901 Morgan certainly looks original to me, and in my opinion, has some character. Was NGC 55, crossed same grade.
1901 Morgan toner Link to PIC
The 1875-S 20 center is a NGC 61. I do not have a pic, but I think it has an old dip than came back nicely and has a rim tone. It got the .85 code, so I guessing PCG S was OK with the color. Attempted to cross at 60 - no cigar.
This coin I like as a D.O.G. Type 2 dollar. Was ANACs small format 45. I felt not quite a strong XF, went with VF35 as minimum, got XF40.
The next coin was a 03-O $10 NGC 60. Said same grade, upgraded to PCGS 61.
1903-O Gold $10 to PIC
Last coin is a Monroe. Was NGC 64, crossed same grade.

Finest Toned Ike I've Ever Seen, been looking since 1986
Nice! And it doesn't hurt as bad only having to pay 10 bucks for those that don't cross!
<< <i>No details on the 79-S? >>
No pic on that! It's a NGC reverse toner with about 1/3 toned on the reverse in a rainbow effect. The coin is flashy, and I'm guessing some chatter on the obvese left of the portrait was a deal breaker for PCGS. With Morgans and a lot of coins, I am a sucker for flash and color and often take too many ticks and hits for my own good....

I don't find the flecking on the reverse of the SVDB to be too terribly distracting. It's acceptable, and the coin is an otherwise handsome BN UNC.
Love the orange peel toning on the T2G.
Pretty pastels on that Monroe.
