The rim looks funky, which may be a problem for certification.

My guess is it would slab, but I guess it depends on what your goals are. It would certainly look great in an album.

You're not a slab guy. Album all the way.

Little bit chattery on the rim, as TomB said, but unless there are some really deep hits there we can't see in the pix, I don't see why it wouldn't grade?

Aside from that, I *love* the look of that one. The peripheral toning is great.

That would definitely grade cleanly. But it would still look great in any 7070, that's for for sure.

A little rim disturbance but as long as there's no hidden cleaning/other damage, I think it'd grade. image

It would look great in an album, in a slab not so much

It, unfortunately, belongs in a genuine holder due to the rim problems. 7070 would be my choice.

I like it. I bet it would straight grade, but why not album it?

Why not both? I have a 7070 type collection in PCGS holders.

I would put it in an album or an airtite.... nice coin, does not need a slab. Cheers, RickO

What album or holder gonna prevent the coin from toning any further?

Those rim problems will go away as soon as it's in a slab...image

Seriously, as long as the surfaces are A-OK, that coin should definately be graded, not really sure why anyone would question that ?
It looks like a 63 on my monitor and absolutely needs an opinion from PCGS image

If you get it in a slab, it might help the next collector realize how sweet it would look in an album rather than in the market where the discerning scoff.

Nice coin. I think it would slab.
If it were mine I'd leave it raw.

It really depends on what you are going to do with it.
If you are going to sell it slabbing would offer more oppurtunities.

On second thought, that looks like an album coin all the way. ...send it to me so I can pop it in mine image

Thanks for the replies - I've enjoyed this in my collection for over 10 years. I'm in no rush to change the status of it. For the near future, I plan to keep it in a Dansco 7070 album. If it ever goes in for a plastic wrap, I'll update the outcome. I've always considered it to be an AU-58, as the surfaces are problem free despite the rim disturbances. image
