I picked this one up last week in Watertown,NY while on vacation with my girlfriend. I don't really collect these but this one had booming luster and clear fields. The cheek has a bag mark but the reverse is spotless. Paid $45. Worth sending in or just enjoy raw?

<< <i>MS64 but is that a huge scratch on the reverse eagle?

Nope its a toning mark.
Too bad about the stuff on her face.
I'm in the 64 crew on this one. The little hits on the cheek and nose would likely keep it to a 64- at least through our hosts standards- which are very tough on this series.
Common date here. If it had a mint mark.... Then it would be well worth submitting!
I'd enjoy this one in the raw, Dansco perhaps.

<< <i>MS 64. Nice for a raw coin find, but not worth the grading fee at current price levels. >>

63 and as sad as it is, you can buy them in 64 holders for around 50 bucks if you watch on ebay.

<< <i>I think MS64 but the greater question is why would you vacation in Watertown in February? >>
