Catch a plane to AZ for a few days of spring training in Casa Grande in the Grapefruit League.
About as much fun as can be had if you like beezaball.

I thought the Grapefruit league was Florida. AZ is the Cactus league.
<< <i>THAT explains why it feels so much like spring here! (And I'm north of Seattle!) >>
In California it could pass for mid June and the season well underway.

Me too but still about bats and balls lol.
The Milwaukee Brewers go to Phoenix Az. metro area for spring training. I would love to be their watching as it is still very cold here in Wisconsin.
Maryvale Baseball Park is the home for the Brewers Spring Training games. This award-winning Cactus League facility, nestled in the west side of Phoenix, is a state-of-the-art complex with ample parking and easy access.
The ballpark features a recessed playing field and shaded concourse, which provides an uninterrupted view of the action. The ballpark's 7,000 seats, plus lush outfield berm, assure an intimate baseball experience in a fan-friendly, relaxed setting.
Simply stated, there's not a bad seat in the house!

You mean that the Cubbies have not yet been mathematically eliminated???
I took in a 3 game series at Wrigley last year. It was a dream trip of a lifetime.
Something I'll never forget.
Not necessarily a Cubs fan, but felt obligated to get there at some point.
Easy to see why anyone would be a Cubs fan. A one of a kind atmosphere.
Day one seats.

Your old employer, sitting in very snowy Chicago, was very
jealous of how warm it is here in Southern California for
the past week - 88-89 degrees last week, and this week,
a cool 78-79. (David)
He made some remarks about how I don't have any compassion
for his cities' snow situation, and so, in retaliation, he actually
sent me (with a package of errors) a Darn Snow Ball double
sealed in two plastic bags ! Luckily, the weather gods out here
in L.A. melted the snowball for me, so I don't have get my hands
cool.
Yes, there actually was a plastic bag of water in the package !!
Some guys have no sense of humor - or maybe they do, but the
freezing weather and snow cover it up, like much of their city.......
I told him every time it gets to below 72 degrees, I think of moving....
to Maui, not to Chicago......
....(true story)
P.S.: as a former Sout' Sider: GO WHITE SOX!

And then the season starts.
Ain't nothing like it. I took in my first MLB game there on a beautiful September evening a few years back. Pedro Martinez pitched a complete game. My son and I sat about two rows back from 1st base. It was absolutely, completely, 100% magical. My wife and I visited last May and got to go out on the warning track under the monster. It's very cool to see the little divots fly balls make when they hit the wall.
..... course right now it's under 7 feet of snow......
On another note, the Cubs really ought to have a chance. Someday. Before all their fans die. Living in Massachusetts during the 2004 run was truly something special.
Right now my attention is locked in on the 3 point shooters in my neck of the woods... plenty of time yet before the swings and misses count for anything
