I have been collecting them for a while but haven't seen any posted or discussed here, I could be wrong about that but I figured that I would ask the members here anyways.
I dig the workmanship , the die sinker and the time period which is late 1850's and up.

<< <i>The I.L.Cragin & Co.token (Dobbins Electric Soap) with obverse design imitating the Libertas Americana medal obverse that is listed by SoCalBigMark in the BST is a J.A Bolen piece. >>
Thanks but fyi that is not a J.A. Bolen medal, you can tell that because his calling card "J.A. Bolen" would be found right below and within the curve of the bottom of the bust.

All of the 23mm Libertas Americana 1876 Centennial merchant cards are not struck by Bolen.
Here's actual Bolen examples signed below the bust which are far better quality design wise then the others which I feel may have been struck by Quint.
<< <i>There is a fine book on Bolen medals, but I haven't had my coffee yet and the author's name escapes me. >>
The reference book for them is "The Medallic Work of John Adams Bolen" by Neil E. Musante... Enjoy your coffee!

That's correct, Broadstruck. The Musante book is the bible for Bolen collectors.
