Got my third gold crown today. I insist on gold instead of porcelain. I know some of you can relate, probably better than most of the population.
I look at hipsters with tattoos and gauge earrings and other body modifications and I think "How mundane. How unoriginal."
You want a connection to nature, or a connection to tribalism, or a connection to humanity going back tens of thousands of years? Nothing says that like a skilled goldsmith lost wax casting a piece of your skull in gold, mined from the earth, forged in fire, alloyed with other precious metals, and installed in your smile for all time by a doctor trained in this art!

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
<< <i>You caught up with me. Didn't you get one last year too? I do not want a 4th but its inevitable. >>
Yep, almost exactly a year to the day. I think I've got three more that look inevitable.
All of mine are molars. So it's not like I look like Jaws from Moonraker or a wannabe rapper
But I do think they look super cool. Almost makes up for having to undergo scaling and planing 4 times a year

I went this direction for my crown but I will consider this alloy for my next crown as I replace some of my 30+ year old dental work. I like that it's white gold and not gold colored gold, although it's tough to beat my crowns that look exactly like healthy teeth

<< <i>Very cool post, and I gotta admit, this was really well written: You want a connection to nature, or a connection to tribalism, or a connection to humanity going back tens of thousands of years? Thank you! Just to be clear: the images make it look less yellow than it is. That shot was at the dentist's office and against the pale metal scale it washed out. It's not yellow yellow gold, but it's still definitely gold colored.
