Update in first post: What's with the revese on this 54 D Franklin? A strike-through error?

I should get this in the mail in a couple of days for my BU Franklin set. Any thoughts on the bell-to-eagle feature?



I just got the half in the mail and there is no sign of the strangeness at all, error or hair. If you guessed eyelash or hair, you were spot on!

Crack in holder and easy to see if you enlarge image, just look at the shadow and the direction the mark is running in the plastic.

It's in a classic 2x2 flip but that's not to say something weird is going on with the holder. I should have it in a few days to inspect it closer.

An eye lash would make the same shadow so I'm sticking to it lol.

Sir I would take that coin and give it a bath in acetone to disinfect it because if it is an eyelash it could have those little mites on it that eat dead shin flakes and leave little poopies on your coin, yuck.
