which to me is an obvious scam.

what a monster!! looks to be a satin finish proof, maybe a 68?
at least i have the photo for nothing!
is there anyone out there in ebay land dumb enough to go for this?

linked....all types of sellers use different images of coins for their auctions....and yes...many buyers fall for it

I'd say he's more of a dullard than a scam.
He does have two so it's pretty obvious no one will get the one pictured.
It's like all the proof set sellers that have DCAM proof pictures and quantities 10+

I guess he thinks it's an E mint mark, from the Pluribus Unum mint

Here is a link to where the seller got the image from looking at the metadata and then doing a google search for the image. Seller should have the listing pulled for using copyrighted images.

I sent the seller a msg stating they are using a copyrighted image from HA as they are the ones who the image belongs to. We will see if he pulls the add.

Still the photos are so nice, one of the nicest satin finish proofs I have ever seen, so I saved it to my hard drive for later enjoyment.
