Take Teddy up on his offer. That coin is beat to death. Color or not, it's a nice bullion piece.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

28-S are hard to find with color.... assuming its an S.

Whats the reverse look like ? If its as nice as the front Id give you $100 for it.

So what is the mint mark?? Inquiring minds want to know..... Cheers, RickO

Has to be an S. Besides the hits the color seems questionable....only because peace dollars rarely look like that. But a no risk pick up for $20. Great strike. Would probably be worth $20 even if it was a Good 4.

Nothing wrong with that, good pick up.
  • Guys it's just a common 1923 P peace dollar. The color is NT and it's better in hand. I bought it from a dealer that was selling a lot of junk silver in rolls. For example I also picked up a roll of standing liberty quarters for $130.00 , just 10 bucks over melt. Mostly no dates BUT, found 3 1917 type I, and 4 dated 25,26,27,28. Someday I'm going to find a 1916 !!! Lol

Anyway what drew it to me is its hard to find a peace dollar with good color
Thanks for the nice comments and God bless you guys as your the best

Dang... certainly does look like an 8...

Nice pick up though. There's nothing questionable about that toning other than how you got it for $20! LOL

so this is a 1923? Would have put money on it being 1928

It's a 3, but lighting and shadows give the appearance of an 8.

Pretty coin. I'd gladly pay 6x $20 for that.
