Got the card to PSA last week, noticed that the status has been updated.

Can someone explain to me what this means?

They aren't saying its really a PSA 10, they are just simply entering the info from the flip correct?

That just shows they received the card as submitted and it is logged in. You will get another email with the result/determination.

Not that this will really surprise anyone at this point but confirmation from PSA:

Thanks for keeping us updated. Given the $value of this crime, I hope it can be prosecuted. What a shame that people do this.
  • Looking at the first scans provided why isn't there alot more frosting and the little square windows are still clear with no frosting (2 on each side and 1 on the top) along the edges? I agree the flip provides all the evidence but if the sonic seal was broken how are the tabs/windows clear with no frosting, I've always been told that was one of the telltale signs a case has been compromised/opened..

This kind of stuff is so distrubing!

This should facilitate the full refund, at least.

Just bad scans, the frosting was obvious with the holder in my possession.

  • Sorry this happened to you - best of luck getting made whole.

This is the main reason for the most part, I now only buy more expensive PSA 10's if they are only in the new PSA holder....removes all doubt for me. I may be missing out on some perfectly fine cards witht his conservative approach, but this is how I am moving forward to protect myself - unless I REALLY know the seller.

Well everyone I finally got my refund today. I want to thank everyone for their help with this situation. I hope everyone learned from my experience.

For thew most part PSA and ebay were very helpful and did what they needed to do to help me. My only complaint is that ebay wont let me leave feedback for the seller.
