I know the size of the image makes the tiny nicks look like hatchet marks...but there might be one too many across the steps.

Not quite full step but a definite keeper. The 1960-1964 P+D
are very rare with a good strike. Might be a few more years
before you find another.

If I bought it sight-unseen I wouldn't be happy with the designation once I got a look? Designations that elevate the value by many orders of magnitude can't get the benefit of the doubt. JMO

JOY! If you have been searching for awhile..........no, don't go and spend it. There's a 1961 in a top registry set that is not full steps but yet, the guy believes it's a prized coin. lol Most of anything after 1954 to 1970 will look beat up, that's what I've learned, anyway. Ignore the marks and look at the strike and luster. If you come across a coin with a robusting strike but less than 5 steps.....I strongly recommend keeping it or let me know about it.

Well, for the know it alls, they need to post their 1961 examples but here's one of mine, link , I've only seen a couple others that look better.
