Hi guy's, I have 2 "acid date " 1913s (type 2) Buffs and 1 possible 1936d three and a half legged, also, 4 1914d's. Do you think I should keep and is there any premium for such coins?image

Pictures might help to determine whether it's a 3-1/2 legger but there is a premium for the 13-S Type 2s. I've sold a couple with just a fragment of the date to someone who restores the whole coin for about $25 apiece, and after he treats them, resells them as restored on ebay for 2 or 3 times that. His coins have a uniform appearance, not the discolored blotches that a lot of older acid date Buffs have, so that may account for his success. I would think a genuine 3-1/2 legger would also carry a premium, because, like the 16/16 doubled die, its such a rare coin.

Depends on the 'acid' job and the buyer.... Cheers, RickO
