Fake 1795 Flowing Hair $1 in fake PCGS holder

My first thought was "no way that's a VF coin". Looking closer at the label, it didn't look right, either, especially the bar code - it's way off. Anyway, reported. Please do the same.

Is it a genuine, but low grade coin in fake holder? Or is the coin fake too?

Counterfeit coin (GD6 details, at best- right?) in a counterfeit VF PCGS slab.

Too bad, as that one may fake out a buyer and who knows? The buyer may simply put that away in a safety deposit box and forget about it until it's time to pass it down to his heirs and then they're in for a rude awakening.
    Insidious purchase, indeed.

Unfortunately if you enter the serial number of verification, it does come back with a 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar with three leaves on the reverse. The coin has no history of having been sold at auction so checking that is not an option. This is where is would be helpful if PCGS had maintained a photo of every coin they graded.

The devil is in the details. Nowadays, he just performs in public. And of course, our friends at ebay have no power or authority over him, for they're on the same path. For Profit, not for prophets.

Some people don't believe even after they see. image(s) … even after the truth is told, it does not stop those on the wrong side of what's good and upright. Because they are the "IN YOUR FACE" children of _ _ _ _, who are lost in space and time… without as much as a semblance of understanding or integrity. I did not check this particular item before launching my thoughts.
… I needn't look any further. And there you have it from the foundations of the world to the far reaches of the universe.

Shine the light, brothera. Shine the light ! It's a candle worthy of holding. Always.

and here is an epiphany. I decided before sending this message to "check out the link".
And here is an OMG moment in space and time.
Where is the seller ? From all places in the world ? Rome. When in Rome, do as the Romans.

Yes, this is what is scary. These crooks are selling what are probably Chinese fakes by wearing them down to market this disgusting trash to collectors who are on the lower rungs of the ladder. Unfortunately these are often the collectors who have had the least experience with these coins who are less apt to notice the funky look this thing has which does not quite square with the real thing.

Sadly I have no doubt that this thing will be sold to some unsuspecting person who will see that it is in a "PCGS holder," which is fake and will assume that it is real. It makes even worse when they use the serial number of a real three leaf variety 1795 Flowing Hair that will show up if the perspective buyer does the serial number verification check.

There should be a long term in prison for the people who knowingly market this junk.

Which is worst, selling fake coins, or selling real coins at fake prices?

And while I'm at it, let me pose another scenario. If someone had a large quantity of undetectable superb quality fakes,
what would be a good way to bring them into the marketplace? There is an insatiable appetite for hi quality, currently.
Seems that this is the perfect time to bring a " shipload" of something to market.

shiploads would tip people off. A patient counterfeiter would have a better chance of longer term success
