Dear Armen Moloian Rare Coins,
Hello! My name is Grant Shobar. I am the Freshman Class President and furthermore, the President of Numismaniacs Coin Club at Dana Hills High School in Orange County, Southern California. I lead every meeting (approximately twice a month) and am teaching my fellow high school students the benefits and joy of the hobby of coin collecting. The goal of my club is to teach potential coin collectors about the benefits of coin collecting, and the intricate facets of the hobby itself, but also to help them to see the types of coins out there and to grow their collections with different types of unique coins.
Unfortunately, my club receives no funding, and I have so far had to pay $50 out of my own pocket. This number will likely grow as the club gets larger and as it progresses. For that reason, I would like to ask you if you might be willing to help sponsor our club (we would be happy to advertise you, on t-shirts, giveaway coins, fliers, posters, and all of our other methods of advertising out club). We will soon be getting a banner made, and if you would like to sponsor us, and would like to be included in the banner, we would be happy to.
If you would be willing to help, we ask for donations of just about any kind, whether money, or coins themselves. Coins are especially helpful as I would otherwise have to pay close to wholesale price. On the other hand, money allows flexibility, so ultimately, any form of support is wondrously appreciated!
As for as coins go, our club is currently at about 20 members, but I expect it to grow, so if possible, I would like to give each member a coin. Thus far, at each meeting I give each member a coin for coming. I have given foreign coins, US mint blank & penny sets, PCGS sample coins, and similar coins. I would love to be able to give coins of a higher value (even a dollar or two) such as buffalo nickels, indian pennies, silver coins, proofs, old designs, et cetera.
Because we are a public school, I can not require any of the members to pay a membership fee. I can only ask for donations, but as you can expect do not amount to nearly enough to provide for my club. In short, any support you would be willing to provide would be tremendous. And what about this endevour is he not learning job skills in sales, marketing, public relations, organization and management?

I already discussed with him sponsoring his joining a numismatic organization here in So Cal that provides a quarterly magazine and support for Ca coin clubs. He was very happy about this. Books were on the list of things I plan to donate when I meet him in Long Beach.
