circulated "wounded eagle" SAC

I found one of these (possibly from a stamp machine in Houston) a couple of years ago. I see the mint state listing in the Price Guide here, but wonder how common these are circulated condition?

I've not seen any circulated ones. However, given the fact they were discovered early on, I would imagine not many were circulated.

It is a great name for a minor die gouge variety. Put it into your retirement fund -- it should always be worth at least $1.

I was at a local coin show last year, showed it to several knowledgeable dealers none of whom were familiar with the variety.

I have not seen a circulated version. I have had two examples; (used to have) a MS64 and presently a MS65 for my Type collection.

    A PCGS in AU-58 sold on e-Bay for $214 in 2012

I think there has been 11 graded at this level, none lower.

Thank you, wooden jefferson. It might make AU, more likely below.
