I have a Barber Half Dollar- New image added

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,975 ✭✭✭✭✭
The slab has MS on it. Any opinions? The scratch on the coin isn't as bad as the image shows. Ugh, crappy image, sorry.

ICG MS60 scratch -----> PCGS MS61

Hopefully this is a better image. Image taken through the slab.

    not my series...at all
    but
    looks like enough luster n frost for 65...with new images....ms62

    is it common for barbers to be blast white or is this a highly preserved example that isn't too common?

    61 to 63 depending on when submitted. I'd agree with the 62.

    MS62, with nice strike & detail. Looks dipped to me though, at least from these photos.

    I bought the coin to put into a type set album, so I cracked it out. Yes, there is a scratch on the coin. I'm glad most replies called the coin MS62 or MS63. The coin was in a non top tier holder and my main concern was if the coin was Unc. or not. With problem free MS62 coins going for around $700, which I can't afford, I thought picking up this coin for $250 was my best option for the set. Again I'll state the scratch is amplified greatly in the image. Here is an image of the coin freed from the holder and the label of the holder it was in.
