Let it go away... quietly.... I do, however, agree with the higher denomination coins...3 and 5 dollar coins... in combination with the Sacs, they would do well. Cheers, RickO

Yes. Actually they would have to stop with Ford because Carter is still alive. Unless they pass new legislation changing the guidelines.

I think she would be very disappointed to not get her First Spouse coin after Bill leaves us down the road and gets his posthumous dollar coin, and her own President coin later with Bill as First Spouse.

Just a thought, but maybe instead of ending the series early (would that drive up the value of those remaining in storage?), maybe if they actually started issuing them for circulation again, they might find a bit of a wider following?!

the good news is that all the idiots that prefer the gold colored dollar coins to paper, will always have plenty of them to spend. as there are millions of them sitting in warehouses all over the country.

Can't wait to get those in a dual holder! I'll try for a SP69.
It is not that life is short, but that you are dead for so very long.
Won't happen. The Gov makes too much money from those to just give it up. They sell a roll of 25 $1 coins for $33...that's the kind of racket I want to run.

Make higher denominations on the coins. Instead of $1, make them either $5 or $10
I had a long diatribe written. But like a good neighbor, I elected to not publish it.

Until that's done, higher denomination coins won't stand a chance.
