Yes sir, what is it?
"Denis, I have a big speech tonight and the market is down 50 points. fix it"
But sir, it is beyond our control to intervene in the free and open markets. It would be wrong.
"Damn you, Denis, all I have going is the bulging market. Get Bernanke on the phone!"
But sir, he no longer works for us. He now commands $250k per night on the Borscht Belt.
"What about Yellen? She can certainly tweak things up a bit. I only need 100 points on the Dow."
I'll try sir, but this is not how it is supposed to work.

Possibly better said with the word "launder" instead of "make." The FED literally "makes" the money. Gold is not normally allowed to spike up on SOTU address day.
I feel honored that our boards are read at such a high level.
That's a relief.
My first though was I was in trouble again, except someone left out an N in my name.
"Yes Denis?"
"I have an idea for your speech! You could recognize the contributions of Coin Reselling profession!"
"the who?"
"the Coin Resellers! Think about it, what profession is more honorable, more wise, more able to discern complicated matters of public policy and guide our nation's future?"
"Denis! You're a genius! Everyone should salute the resellers of coins as the members of society who add among the highest value to society! Get right on writing that paragraph!"
"Yes Sir!"

Funny. Though reselling/flipping coins is far more honorable than money laundering.

About damn time. At least when the Stepford dems rise and applaud in lockstep, it will be for a good reason, not another tax and spend debacle*!
*Though a subsidy on coin sales would be nice!!!
Yeah, no one has ever heard of anyone laundering money or evading taxes in the coin and precious metals business

The only Denis with 1 "s" I can think of is Denis Potvin former captain of the New York Islanders
No one was the wiser sir, well except for a few lunatics on an obscure hobby message board.

So if a smart kid forgoes the military and technical school, and instead spends 12 years of his life going to University to be a surgeon, excels at his profession and makes a million dollars he has gained your disdain?
Good thing you dont have any kids.

Need more information. Is he a valued trauma surgeon that is putting mangled automobile wreck survivors back together and saving the lives of gunshot victims or is he performing low percentage procedures on dying octogenarians so that he can buy a beach home on Laguna?
Does he donate a significant amount of his talent to those truly in need as my best friend's surgeon father did (25% each year), or does he support a nation bankrupting healthcare mandate that shoves the middle class into the toilet, yet insures that he makes his seven figures each year?
Have met some fine caring doctors over the years and many lamentable rogues as well.
The docs involved in this case should be jailed. So much for taking an oath.

It is amazing that we have created a system that is even worse than socialized medicine. A system where the providers, insurers and trial lawyers make little or no financial sacrifice, yet the poor slob scraping by on a lower middle class income is forced by the rule of law to pay the million dollar surgeon to care for his neighbor, a situation that he has absolutely no influence over.

You can say the same about any profession and not one bit of it makes a difference. We can always find an exception to prove a rule, right?
So what if Bernanke makes $250,000 for a speech. Many other people make a lot more. You've brought up his speaking fees and dr's salaries dozens and dozens of times. Thats obsession.

Oh yes, many make a lot more, especially when the speaking engagement is before a dozen or so insiders. Righto.
Please provide a list of these elite speakers.

You can call them elite if you wish however that would not be my term, but the Clinton brothers, Tony Blair, Rudy Guliani, Donald Trump, Alan Greenspan have all made more than $250,000 per speech. You make it sound like Bernanke is making speeches every other day. How many has he actually made in the last year?
Sarah Palin made about $12 million in speeches over 2 years.
Bernanke is going to make less (A LOT LESS) in his lifetime than A-rod or Tom Brady.

Well Bernanke understated inflation, Brady denied deflation!

Though their is some nexus as they are all frauds.

True. Liberals have a blank entry in their dictionary for the word.

Not since the early 1970's. My first real paycheck smartened me up.
When you read posts from many of the gold "enthusiasts", they sound like the occupy wall street crowd. and very anti capitalist.
You have to admit it gets confusing.

Gold stackers are quite diverse as are Wall Street occupiers. As with a theoretical collision of galaxies, the chances of two entities hitting are quite slim.

Nah....never got into the drug stuff. The occasional toke or two and maybe a couple of Scotches on the weekend. Was more into athletics and nightly poker games at the time.
I just want to know how Bailey has been making money with Canadian and Austailian dollar investments. If I could learn the secrets I would be so forever greatful.
