I saw an awesome slab at the BECC Show today
The BECC show today was nothing to write home about. With it being the Sunday of the show and the Seahawks game starting 2 hours after opening, it was SLOW. I walked it once and spent most of my ~90 minutes there talking with James Sego and a few others. As I looked in the different cases, I saw one stand-out slab that I love. Everyone has seen the coin that's been re-graded (or crossed), received a lower grade, and the dealer tapes the original cert label on top of the slab. For this coin, though, the dealer sawed off the entire top part of a PCGS slab--the label inside both sides of the plastic, and taped the whole thing atop the new slab. Once I realized why the top of the slab was so thick, I chuckled and immediately told a few people to take a look. Sadly for the dealer, it went from AU58 to cleaned. But I laughed, so it's all good
