A Well Struck Little Half Sister from my 7070 Album

Acquired from a smaller EAC dealer set up at the Michigan State show in the early '90's.
I've always loved the obverse on this coin, and Todd did a pretty good job of capturing of everything.
There used to be a little more red on both sides of the coin, that has faded over the years. There is also a fine coating
of Blue Ribbon to help preserve it from the FL humidity:

I pondered that myself for a long time....I remember showing it to one of the ANACS guys set up at a show once, and he could not
give an opinion on it.
I've since found out that all true Proof '54 half cents have a tiny die chip on the 'I' in UNITED, that this coin lacks, so I believe it's just
a very well struck biz strike coin on PL planchet.
Is there such a thing as a PR69 copper ½ cent from 1854???

<< <i>Very nice half cent; if that represents the caliber of the other coins in the collection, we'd be interested in seeing some pictures of the album pages! >>
Never tried the whole page thing....these are just some coins I had Todd shoot at FUN this year.
I posted this one the other day:
Be careful, early copper can be very addicting.
Used to own, 62BN.
I hope copper doesn't get much more addicting - I already have a nearly complete date and major variety set of large cents!

My first thought as well
