Here's some bullion you don't see every day...

I found this old bar in large estate sale a few months back. I've been meaning to post it, I think it's super awesome.
Sorry, I couldn't fit it all in my camera and didn't feel like changing lenses.
It's 10" long and weighs 25oz's.

    nickel is widely used in metal alloys where corrosion and heat resistance is required.

    I always understood that the term "bullion" was reserved for precious metals. Am I mistaken?

    No and no. PM's include silver, gold, platinum, palladium, and rhodium.

    Neat bar. The style of lettering and the fancy monogram lead me to believe that it may date back to the late 1800's. Would look good on my desk as a paperweight or just a desk decoration.image

    That's exactly what I've been using it for. Just a neat hunk of metal on my old office desk.
