So, what are you spending your ebay bucks on??

LakesammmanLakesammman Posts: 17,669 ✭✭✭✭✭
Earned $273 this holiday shopping season (well, 1/2 was from bullion.....). Love those 4X and 5X offers.

Already spent it on sample slabs. image

I earned $60 mostly from 2 tough coins I found this period. I'm never chosen for the promos however.

I'll probably buy some reference material or a Libertad for my sons birth year set.

I used to get those promos all the time, but I guess since I stopped spending as much they decided I was no longer worthy. Oh well...

I've noticed that for the most part bullion and coins don't qualify for bucks? What am I missing?

Bullion in the Bullion category doesn't - Bullion in the Coins category does.

Bought a 1 oz Philharmonic - love the design.

If you register at eBay to participate in the program, you'll earn 2% of the final price of most purchases, which accumulates towards quarterly redemption on a future purchase at eBay (with conditions).

I see that eBay has now provided a check box on the checkout page for items purchased that allows a eBay Bucks participant to opt out of applying their Bucks until they have a purchase of their choice to apply them to during the redemption period. Previously, the eBay Bucks were automatically applied to the first eBay purchase after the certificate was delivered, and any remaining balance would be applied to the next successive purchase(s).

Edited to clarify(add), after reading FTB's post below: The eBay Bucks remain idle now, until the buyer manually opts IN during checkout by checking the box. FTB has a good point. A lot of buyers may miss that feature and save eBay a lot of money until familiar with it.

Placed a bid on a unlisted obverse die Merchant Token that well exceeded my ebucks...

Won it for far less with ebucks to spare.

Excited to get it as the company is still in business today and this has never been documented by Wright, Miller, or Rulau.

$221 to spend, but haven't found anything yet. If all else fails, I'll buy the best Ag bullion I can find at the end of the month...

I have $500 (capped) on one account and $440 on another.
It would be nice to get a free $940 coin, but I'll have to settle for a free $500 coin and $440 towards something else.

Unfortunately the coins I need start in the thousands of dollars.image

I thought it was against ebay rules to have more than one ebay account for ebay bucks? I would have earned 15k in ebay bucks last year if there wasn't a limit. Haven't used multiple accounts for fear of losing out on the program alltogether.

Can I earn eBay Bucks on multiple accounts?
No. There is a maximum of one (1) eBay account per person that can be enrolled in the eBay Bucks Rewards Program. Members are not allowed to have or create multiple eBay Bucks accounts to circumvent the quarterly earn limit, and it is also not permitted to combine or transfer your earn balance from one account to another.

This was the first time I qualified since they instituted the $5 minimum for redemption. I ended up cherrypicking a 1946 DDR Walker in Fine and my bucks covered about half the cost.

I see that the price on the roll of 20 one-ounce silver buffalo rounds from APMEX that I applied my bucks toward has gone up from $359.99 when I bought it on the morning of Jan. 3, to $401.98 just now.
I hope I do wind up receiving them.
    When in doubt, don't.

I did get them -- very promptly and as advertised. Plus, the packaging was awesome.
This was my first experience with APMEX, and I was impressed!
