Why coin dealers drink--Part CCCCXXVII

CaptHenwayCaptHenway Posts: 33,635 ✭✭✭✭✭
Sometimes it is because of other "dealers"

As always, from the dealer-to-dealer network:

"Had a guy in here later on that wanted all of my "slicks"
at $5 a piece - 'cause that's what he pays at "the shows".
He felt the need to explain in great detail what a "slick" was
what with him being a show dealer and me just owning a store.
I told him he could have all of my "slicks" for $5 each - but
that there was a $20 per coin "insertion" fee. I then went into
great detail to explain exactly what the insertion fee entailed -
since he was a show-dealer and I just owned a store."

Should I go into great detail asking for the dealer's name who pays $5 for "slick" dimes?

I really doubt that you want to see pics of the type of insertion that he is referring to.image
