1942-D/Hor D Jefferson Nickel Population Jump!

Happy Holidays!
Are any of you in the know on all these new 1942-D/HorD's that hit the Pops? Someone must have hit a mother-load roll? I met the guy who made one of the MS65s, but nothing on the other 5 in MS64 and MS65. The full step Pops are below:
10/25/2014 = MS62-3, MS63-3, MS64-4 and MS65-1
12/25/2014 = MS62-3, MS63-3, MS64-7 and MS65-4

Leo, we may be able to afford one someday, that is if we do not Cherry one sooner!
<< <i>An interesting aspect of this full step Pop jump is that the non-FS uncirculated Pops stayed at 21. What are the chances that only a stash of full steppers was discovered without any non-FS'ers? My thought is there are some non-FS examples waiting to be graded.

Mike, I helped you cherry one not long ago, an AU58 that upgraded to a MS63FS. I thought it was a nice coin but there must have been something wrong with it that caused you to sell it. Same thing about the 1954-S you sold years ago and now sits in a MS67FS holder. I have recently seen your old 1954-S. It's displayed on Coin Facts. The details around the ear are flat and missing and there's the heavy mark on the cheek. You called me up one day and asked if I knew anyone who might be interested in buying it. The details are murky but I wasn't interested enough to buy it myself. I likely didn't have the money was part of it. Remember who I suggested you to sell it to and he ended up selling his set shortly thereafter? Remember what I said? So much for collecting coins! lol But anyway, I'm very happy with my coin. The only detail missing is a quarter of a step that leaves it shy of 5 complete steps. Someday, it will turn out to be a great cherry pick because it has it all, well, for the exception of that one little extension of an incused line on the 5th step.
And you were right about my old 1953-S that it's the best coin to own. It too can be seen in Coin Facts along with a MS65FS and MS66FS, which have weak strikes. I'm still sitting on a few robusting top quality pieces that are the best to own and so are you.
