Had a dealer put together a custom eBay auction for me. Has anyone else ever had this done for them?
Thought this was pretty cool of the dealer to do
Brings my running total on these to 14 now. If you're going to collect 3 oz Foster bars, this is thee one you want. Last one made in the 3 year series and the lowest mintage. I only have 2 that have the original box and certificate. If anyone has them, the bar or the box & cert., please feel free to contact me and I'm sure we'll work something out.

Point being, if you can purchase lower size bars for close to Spot, which is do-able just takes a little luck, when you go to sell them you'll realize more of a premium than with a 100 oz'er and you have mnore of them rather than just one thing to barter with.
Either way, to each his own and it's still a nice haul coho.
<< <i>Not knocking anything, just never understood the attraction to 100 oz bars, even Engelhards or JM's. They can be had for roughly close to Spot depending on the variety, maybe that's it, but then you have alot tied up in one thing that is tied more closely to what Spot is at at the time of selling it than with smaller oz bars.

I think 100 oz bars are popular since the are big, heavy and quite impressive. Also, like you pointed out, they can usually be bought closer to melt than the smaller bars. With a little searching though you can find 10 oz bars with similar premiums.

way cool
I bought a bunch of libertads but won't see them till next week. My only silver was a 1967 Canadian dime that my mom found while cleaning a house. She also found a roll of 1960-1964 "D" pennies in a closet. They were mostly circulated and low MS. It was still neat to look through though. Love the look of red copper.

I was not comparing what I bought to what he bought, that's YOU obviously making a veiled attempt at knocking me. Geeez, some of you on here have just become complete (pause) trolls, that's it, trolls! Trying to instigate something that clearly wasn't stated or implied.
I was simply saying I never understood the attraction to 100 oz'ers and clearly said he had a nice haul for the week. Why does someone always have to read something into what I say that I clearly DID NOT say, or even imply, like the way you are? Get a life.
POM, those are cool bars. You should build a nice wall like you did with those chunky A-Marks a while back. That was a very nice stack as well.

<< <i>Not to speak for coho, but would imagine he's not interested in a collection of little novelty bars, does not have the time-value to buy and sell them individually to grind out another dollar each, and does not foresee "barter" of metal in any way shape or form as having any significant probability worth considering

You said you didn't understand, and I tried to explain. Excuse me, mister sensitive. Nice haul to you, yay you.

I like the shoe.
Not too shabby!!! Looks like someone's getting a nice present.
Nobody should be afraid of a color, especially in suede. I designed those shoes a couple years ago... got a rainbow of flavors actually.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

My sneakers will always match my shirts. I have pink shirts, figured pink suede kicks would work.
<< <i>My wife gets jealous that I have more shoes than har, ha!

If you ooze masculinity, like some of us do, you have no reason to fear pink.

I gotta be lucky 10x just to get 1 100 oz bar. I aint that lucky.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
And if you want to talk about having an 'in' with the ladies....wearing/collecting funky shoes is a good place to start. I have a bunch more, just could only rustle up these pics of my 'other stackin' collection today.
And yes, these all get worn.

<< <i>Looks like someone has a "connection" at Adidas? Or are you just the most loyal customer EVER? >>
There's one of their outlets all of 5 minutes from my house that I've been hitting for a over a decade. Sales proper and closeouts and combinations of the 2, most of those were had for under $20.

<< <i>Those styles, on the clearance rack?? c'mon, no way! >>
Oh there's some turds in there for sure, ha! The yellow hightop Ronald McD's, the teal patent leather ones.... I rock those on ugly shoes days at the office like a boss, shakes things up a bit.
