Two new purchases

First coin is a 1803 Lg Cent I bought from a shop I had never visited before. Small date/Small Fraction. The color is a nice chocolate brown, not the light odd brown in the photos, my photography skills stink. I don't think it was a bad purchase at $35,




2nd coin is a 1908-O Barber quarter in a small ANACS slab, I really liked the look of the coin when I saw it. Can you guess the grade? will post later.

An album toned coin in old ANACS holder is always a nice find.

62/63 on the quarter, if it's in a 58 slab you likely got a great deal.. good or so on the cent and how can you go wrong. nice pick ups

By virtue of the whole period of barber coinage and their look, I don't like the design.
However, that is a nice looking one and would look good in most any collection.

I like both coins. Don't know large cents, but the Barber looks 58 to me.

The quarter was graded MS 62. I think it would have been a 64, except between Liberty's nostril and cheek there is a abrasion, the third obverse pic shows it good. You have to turn it just right to see the mark in the light. The reverse is great, just that mark on the obverse holds it back. The large cent I figured would G4, has nice brown color I just could not capture it. Thanks for the compliments.

It's nicer than a 63, IMHO, but not
as nice as a 65, so, it's a 64. Love it.

Nice look on the Barber. The little abrasion isn't all that bad. Why not 64?
