I got some modern grades - are these things worth anything? - With a POTD from Baley

I haven't submitted anything for about 10 years. I don't see these in the price guide - are the 70's worth anything?

    It is astounding that these rarities still exist in such a high grade of preservation, lo these many... hours

    One of the funniest responses I've ever read.

    I usually check ebay completed auctions/sales to see what moderns in lofty grades are bringing.

    Baley, I hope you find it a compliment that I have used your quote in my tag line.

    Smoebody should award him the POTD

    But it's Not true - they have been at PCGS for almost a month.

    Unfortunately, you MIGHT break even if you sold them all due to the cost of grading. It looks like you may have used a coupon for the 8 coins, if so.... if you sell them, you might have enough to have 8 coins graded.

    MS70PL = ~$130
    PR70DC ~$75
    PR69 ~$50

    the others are about $30 each.

    Even can be a good thing. I haven't used my 8 freebies yet. I have to find time to go through what I want to use for those, probably next year.

    Don't the freebies have an expiration date?

    They have likely attracted a few sulfur atoms by now, so they should exhibit attractive toning commensurate with their age.

    I hope this does not turn out like yesterday. For a while you were a stockholder in PCGS and then came clean that due to limited resources you really did not, now you own 8 graded moderns but in 20 more replies you many own none??

    I figured you were more into wooden nickels.

    If you were a true modern weenie, you would have cracked all those 69's already and retried them for 70's.

    I see tonight on eBay a MS70PL went for $150 and a PR70DC went for $90, so I might be able to earn a little money for a coin.image
