Home Precious Metals

Just realized that there is 357,000 ounces of gold buried near my home...

.....well about 35 miles from here, in the Santa Rita mountain range.

Plenty of Silver and Copper too.

Kind of hope it remains there though as the planned mining operation can be quite destructive.

Exactly why I said in another thread that we don't really need any more gold and should quit mining it. It isn't worth the environmental impact/destruction that it has/causes.

It is really the copper that they are after. "It will create jobs" says the business community. Sure, respiratory therapists when the soot hits the air.

Come on out to Tucson then......healthcare is half of the economy.

The other half is coin shops and Sushi joints! image

Isn't there a lot of copper mining north of Tucson too? Like Globe area and north east towards pine top and show low?

Its a nice drive down from petrified forest area very pretty country before you get to the vast frying pan that is Tucson.
