Liberian pattern/proof that found its way into circulation :(

Makes me somewhat sad to see a proof pattern that was circulated (pretty well circulated in this case). I suppose the only good thing is that it gives collectors who want to own an example of a pattern, but can't afford to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars, an opportunity to get one.

    Interesting piece, great looking even with a tad of wear. I guess it's not surprising, but the reverse is certainly shamelessly modelled on the US 2 center...

    Sure is image Liberia has always been like the adopted child that the US doesn't want to take custody of.
