1959 D Acid Washed Cent??

I've never seen an acid washed coin. But anyway, here are pics of it. Is it definitely acid washed? What say you?
The edge collar is missing and the weight is 1.47g. It is the diameter of a dime.

We were visiting my wifes grandpa for his 93rd Birthday. He used to have a few valuable coins that he sold off a few yrs ago. My wife just found this with a few other memorial cents. I was just curious about it as I've never seen one but heard of it. I put it in a 2x2 and marked it. Will take it back to him when we visit again. Thanks for your help!

IIRC from long ago, I was told the telltale tipoff for acid wash evidence is the thinness of the letters/numbers. Forgot about this until your Lincoln was posted here.
