Most likely nothing or someone would have told by now. The topic was hot and heavy for a few weeks with rants and then quiet. At best legends gets a uncollectable judgement against him.

The case is still ongoing. I have been following the docket.
  • From a market report dated 8/30/14:

    << <i>LEGEND NEEDS YOUR HELP!

As many of you are aware, we are pursuing legal remedies on an individual named Paul Elwell from Michigan for damage he tried to cause us harm on a possible scam web site. The owner of the site has recently had criminal charges unsealed that he and the site are under investigation for extortion. Elwell was at the ANA Show. We saw him and we have pictures of him walking around (we took some, other dealers sent us some). Our legal team would like to know if there are any dealers or collectors with whom he did any business at the show with or the past few months. Please contact us at lsperber1@hotmail.com.

The update on everything is we are awaiting a court order to proceed with our case. In NJ, courts are slow. Legend will NOT cease with this guy until we get FULL justice. Take our word on it, we have the BEST lawyers in the country (the same ones who represents Justin Beiber+many mega corporations) working on it-and know they WILL get us the justice we crave. It is also our belief he has tried to intimade us recently using an alternative email ID's-again (those emails were forwarded to our atty). Legend thanks everyone for all the support we have received on this matter. Sadly, this fellow has been a problem to MANY other dealers too. >>

I found this to be very funny.

I understand he left many victims in his wake over the past few years, me included. He was seen walking around the Chicago ANA in August. Laura knew he was there. Many of the dealers he was trying to do business with were warned about him.

Too funny... The Paul Elwell collection of Susan B Anthony dollars.

Heritage and Stacks will be fighting over that sale.

Latest filing by defense looks to be 11-10-14.

Yeah, I'm not sure the numismatist crowd will be impressed by name dropping Justin Beiber (sp)...

Elwell is representing himself and his filings and demeanor with the court have been quite entertaining to say the least. image

I hope this case goes to Judge Judy. I'd pay a lot to see Judge Judy spazz out on Elwell. image
