The highest-denominated 5 dinar coin is set to contain 21.25 grams of 21 carat gold, worth about $694,
while its lowest-denominated 10 flous coin would contain 10 grams of copper and be worth about 7 cents.
The proposed silver dirham coins would range in value from 45 cents to $4.50 at current rates.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

Without question.
Hopefully Isis will soon be a thing of the past, kill them ALL.

Or maybe we can send it first to our guys at the Agency before returning it. Maybe they can make the coin into a mini IED and send it back to the Bagdadi guy whos the head of ISIS. So when he opens it...you get the picture.

Pretty nice if you ask me

redundant. As if we all don't already have ENAMELD COOKIE MONSTER in our saved searches.
One of the silver coins shows a sword and a shield in a reference to holy war, or jihad while another has a minaret symbolizing Damascus mentioned in one of the Prophet Muhammad's sayings.
Another coin carries the symbol of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, where the Prophet prayed.

Nothing more than a despicable representation of a vile regime.

When the Chinese issued the first paper money several hundred years ago, refusing to accept it for payment at full face value carried the death penalty. This ISIS money may be similar in ISIS controlled territory.

I caution obtaining them may be seen as aiding a terrorist organization. I caution not to fall to temptation even if you don't plan on getting caught.

not at all
it seems all of the anti-usa factions seem to want to down the dollar. it's not surprising at all.

Who says ISIS is an anti US faction ?? Without our graciously providing them weapons constantly they would be pegging rocks at each other over there. They love the US government . The owners of the US government love ISIS right back.
Pardon me for being cynical , but I think there is more than Mr Murphy's law at work here with regards to the disaster that is the middle east.

That is my thought... And as for value,

I would hazard a guess that through history/time there isn't one country/race who hasn't had blood on their currency/coinage from some degree of atrocities.

Ever been to a military relic show? That nazi gear is fetching crazy prices and rising!
I do not collect german items but see plenty of it being a civil war dealer/collector. I don't agree with it BUT if I can make a quick flip I am game.

Well this is something of a conundrum.
I, and I imagine many of you as well, am acquainted with those who have long insisted that the Constitution REQUIRES that all USA money be backed by gold and silver (specie). Now here comes ISIS and says that is the very thing that they intend to actually do. So, umm..., is it the right thing to do or not? And "are ya fer it or again' it?". (Just the question of coinage now.)
-----
I wonder who will manufacture them. Themselves (seems unlikely, at least initially). China? Russia? The Swiss? One of us? (We do purchase their oil and in such quantities that the price is rapidly falling, so the Benedict Arnold factor seems to be adequately addressed.)
-------
I don't think they'll be faked. They'll be too hard to pass as it is anywhere but in ISIS-held territory and within that territory the punishment will be too severe to take the risk.

I've been hearing a lot about this on the various news outlets but I'm beginning to wonder if its a real thing.
I'm starting to feel like its just a planted story to draw a linkage in the mind of Joe Sixpack between gold and silver money and terrorists.
