In 1964 America, one could hoard silver.....

....simply by pulling coins out of circulation.

No Apmex deals or scouring Ebay for a bargain.

What city? I was selling liquor as well in 1975 in Detroit. Don't recall much silver, though more than a few folks tried to use food

My grandparents culled a few rolls of silver back then. Couldn't afford to hoard much as they needed it to pay bills. That was when they were selling gas for 24¢ per gallon.

Similar opportunity exists with Nickels now. $100 in nickels is worth $88 melt. No risk.

Just a storage problem. You can get $100 boxes of nickels at the bank.

Eventually there will be a shortage.

Pulled lots of 40 & 90% silver out of slot machine change or winnings in the late 80's and early 90's. image

Come to think of it, I pulled lots of 40% Kennedy's out of my local bank from 2005-2010. Luckily I sold 'em in 2011 & 2012.

We sold a lot of Vodka and cheap whiskey in Detroit. Malt liquor was big as well.

What were the best sellers in Westminster, Sherm?

I think this was the worst beer ever.
Made in downtown LA during stage 3 smog alerts.
    Overpriced.
    Out of business.

As a paper boy back in '80-'82 I remember getting a no date Standing Liberty quarter as a tip from an old lady for taking a few envelopes to the Mailbox for her, I still have it today.
