Weekend Nov 8th & 9th, 2014: Silver Canadian Quarter, couple other keepers

Got out yesterday and today for a bit. Things have been slowing down in the area I've been hitting, but seems like there's always a little something left. Yesterday just a few minutes in, got a nickel signal...turned out to be a toasted disc, but looks like there are vertical lines from a shield nickel. You can barely see them in the photo. 95% sure it's a shield nickel. Also got a V nickel, 2 IHCs, junk pocket watch, and a 1965 Canadian quarter. I believe it's 80% silver. Thanks Canada for minting post-1964 silver coins! With this quarter, that makes 52 silvers for the year. And it means 2014 is no longer tied for the worst silver coin year since getting back into detecting in '09. Yay Canada!
Got out today, got a mangled IHC (can only see reverse), a flat button, and 4 round balls in the same hole. I guess they're too small to be musket balls right?
HH all!

I've never found a musket ball, so I can't really help you there.

PPC, not sure there are 7 weeks of detecting left. Usually early December is good to call it quits. If there isn't snow, the temps usually prohibit detecting, either just too cold, or ground starts freezing.

I'd trade all my silver for the year for your 13,000 lbs of walnuts! Well, I might keep the 3¢ silver, but other than that, wanna trade??
