1864 2 cent coin

Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone has seen an 1864 2 cent coin with the A in states completely filled in. All the research I have done online and looked through on PCGS does not show it this way at all.

Any thoughts on this? Is this a knock off? I tried to upload a photo here, but it doesn't seem to want to cooperate right now.

    Don't attach photos

    Use an image hosting service and the IMG code method of posting

    With the A filled in, that would be a die state.
    An expert in the series might recognize it.
    But it wouldn't be classified as a die variety, like the Small Motto is.

    Probably not. Quite often odd things like this don't get much notice on 19th century coins.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
