If you had $2,000 right now would you?

Would you buy a nice coin or 2 or 3 or would you buy PM's (if PM's would it be gold or silver)?

Since I just blew about that on some new cabinets for the house, I'm keeping the rest of my cash for the holidays.

If I had credit card debt I would apply it to that. otherwise I'd pickup some GDXJ.

If I buy anything, it will be gold. Right now I'll just sit on my cash.

Neither, as I believe the drop in gold/silver has a way to go yet.

If I had $2k to invest, I'd buy a 10 oz bar of silver, a 1/10 oz AGE, a draped bust quarter or half dollar in Fine or so, $500 worth of a stock mutual fund, a good pair of shoes for each family member,
and the rest toward the mortgage

If I came across it as extra, I could get a few basic morgans if they were a special deal.
I'd be looking though for 1/2 gold or 1 oz, and englehard silver.

Or, I may have to pay that ACA health care nut $1800 for December.

Yeah, I've never seen so many varieties...spam & jalepeno, spam & pineapple, spam & egg,...
Also, the Koreans (in country) give away cans as Christmas presents and it's not considered low-brow.

To answer the question, If it was considered to be extra money that could go wherever I wanted it to, it would be to pay down debt.

Fortunately, except for normal bills, I have NO debt. Zero, zilch, nada.

Oh me too, but I'd throw it at the mortgage is what I meant. That qualifies as debt, to me anyway.

If I was investing I would do an S&P ETF, but if it was play money, coins from either the early 1800s or 1790s if I could find a nice one for the value.

Oh yes I would. I might even put it on a credit card if I could flip it quick enough.
