A few recent unopened pickups...

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to share a few of my recent unopened pickups. I was just thinking the other day that my unopened collection began with the purchase of an 83, 84, and 85 topps wax box from the BBCE in a group rip a few years ago. I didnt know whether I would rip them or keep them unopened. Thankfully, for CPAMike's sake, I kept them unopened. These boxes began part of my new passion, and that is the world of unopened. I've tried to learn as much as possible about unopened product, and I've learned that I'll never stop learning. image

I picked these boxes up recently raw, and sent them to Steve last week for authentication. I was happy to see the brown box on my desk at my office after coming home from audit. I was even happier to see these in the box when I opened it!

These are the first OPC items to my collection. Its been fun learning a bit more about OPC while I've had them. Hoping to add a few more to the collection over the years. My wife asked when I got them, "what's up with the french?" Ughhh.....I'm just glad that she let me buy them image

Thanks for letting me share!

    Great pickups!

Question, who's got two thumbs and opened a bunch of 83 OPC boxes back when they were $70/ea? image

    $70? I remember buying a 4-box lot for $175 about 12 years ago!

Edit to add: I remember when 79 OPC boxes were about $180 a box, too. Wish I had held onto the ones I had!

Sweet boxes! Love the OPC wax!

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
