Ebay isn't all bad.

I will admit, I complain about Ebay as much as anyone.
Yes, there is too much junk to wade through.
Yes, the fees are too high.
Yes, you must accept returns for any reason.
I do enjoy coming home after a long day and opening freebies purchased with Ebay Bucks though.
I know they are not free because of the items listed above but I can forget about that and smile a little when I open my widgets. image

There are some great finds if you know what to look for and are patient.

Over the years I have found some fantastic finds.

I do however put my time in every day searching Ebay.

Funny story. I have a friend that has been buying on ebay for a dozen years. He routinely spends
20k-40k per year there. A couple of months ago I was mentioning that I bought a coin because there was bonus
ebay bucks event going on. He's like, "What are ebay bucks?" I looked at him surprised.
I thought he was kidding. Anyway, long story short, when I explained them, and how it's free and easy to sign
up, he was shocked and a little depressed. Although he's a well to do guy, he missed out on thousands of dollars
by not taking 2 minutes to sign up. Ouch.

Well since we're talking nice about eBay in this particular thread.....

My favorite thing is when I'm looking at my saved searches for a few minutes, then refresh the page before leaving and something I've been waiting for is suddenly there. I hit the BIN
and send payment with the auction only being a few minutes old! I like to think the seller's face must be like image

+1 to that. Although in the past few years I've found that the ratio of dreck to fantastic finds has gone up dramatically.

I used to enjoy ebay.....long since quit though...too much scam and garbage. Yes, there are occasional treasures - just for me, personally, not worth the time. Cheers, RickO

I like e-bay for many reasons. I don't like to wade through all the garbage, but sometimes I can score some nice coins for a good price if ya kinda know what your doing.
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

It has been some time since I have purchased coins on eBay. I sell them all the time.

Dated a wealthy woman who insisted on shopping at the Goodwill for bargains. There's little question as to how she remains wealthy.
That's not even related, but it is, in a way.
