At 18,618 looks like they may sell out at 19K.
Gold Buffalo Proof Coin Mintage
Date 1 oz. 1/2 oz. 1/4 oz. 1/10 oz.
2006 246,267 N/A N/A N/A
2007 58,998 N/A N/A N/A
2008 18,863 12,169 13,125 18,884
2009 49,306 N/A N/A N/A
2010 49,263 N/A N/A N/A
2011 28,683 N/A N/A N/A
2012 19,715 N/A N/A N/A
2013 18,584* N/A N/A N/A
I am not buying. These seem to be normalizing at these 18-19K mintages now. Though the 2013 seems to remain the king dethroning the 2008.

The decline from democracy to tyranny is both a natural and inevitable one.
<< <i>I think this will be a good buy if it really is sold out. A mintage of under 20,000 might not be great for a lot of coins, but people actually like the proof Buffaloes and Apmex's Price of around $1660 is a pretty attractive entry point. I seem to recall buying proof buffaloes raw from the mint for $1900 a year or two ago. I guess lower gold does make this stuff look cheap (although I do realize it could go cheaper). Also, if gold prices keep going down, I would think all mintages would start to head higher. I hope the mint decides to make fractionals again next year. >>
Is there any indication that there will b fractionals next year?
