I just received a PSA 9.5 from PSA

I did not know this was a grade...

It was a 1980 Topps Bird/Erving/Johnson PSA/DNA blue flip..

I'm flabbergasted

    Currently collecting 1934 Butterfinger, 1969 Nabisco, 1991 Topps Desert Shield (in PSA 9 or 10), and 1990 Donruss Learning Series (in PSA 10).

    From what I understand, the blue flip means the grade is for the auto. PSA does have a 9.5 grade for autos.
    Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.

    Esquire Sports is correct. The grade either refers to the autograph or the card (usually the autograph), but it is definitely an autographed card.

    So there can be a 9.5 on an autograph but not a card?

    I know for certain with signed baseballs. Will see if I have a 9.5 holder around.

    I meant to say that if it is an autographed card, the autograph and/or card can be graded and holdered with a blue flip.

    The card will never be graded if the flip is blue.

    I will post a picture when it arrives. It is a signed card with an autograph grade. I know there are PSA 9.5's for autographs, but I have never seen this designation on a card. I actually received three 9.5's in the order lol

    Thanks for the clarification. I thought that PSA had a similar service to BGS. I thought that AUTO GRADE ONLY meant that a collector could opt to have the card graded as well.
