Gorgeous new Britannia Design

I found this design gorgeous. I'm sure many of you can appreciate it as well. The 5 ounce had a mintage of 600 and is now sold out.

Wow, that's stunning! And definitely an ode to some ancient coins - the helmet is an accurate depiction of a Corinthian helmet as on the coinage of Alexander the Great, even carrying over the visible hair within the eye of the helmet:

IMO mostly nice, but Brit's face looks a bit evil - like a Halloween witch! Like the gown and backside & weird hands too....Related to Edward Scissorhands?

I would need a closer look!

Now we were taught proper investigation was :

    (1) Inspection
    (2) Palpation!!
    (3) Auscultation
    (4) Percussion (little tap never hurt anything)
    (5) Manipulation (that's a bit "R" rated there)

Possibly only being repriced as a "checkout" price at www.royalmint.com was down to 329 pounds plus shipping - certainly quite a bit less than Apmex or what the couple on ebay are trying for....

Yes but as Coinex is the largest show in the UK I figure one of the dealers will have one at the show.

    Kinda slinky looking.

Do we have any pix of an actual coin of the OP type now?

(Edit- ah, yes. Plenty on eBay.)

I don't love it, but do like it.

Not sure the 5 ounce is that available on eBay. To update this, it appears that there were 600 struck plus 750 as part of the NGC first strike program. So the total authorized mintage is at least 1350
