Last 4 hunts: Large Cent, 4 Silvers, 31 wheats

Last few individual trips weren't worthy of their own thread, but combined they're not too bad. Been hitting a new site lately. First signal there was a merc. Second was a wheat, and fourth was an IHC. I had visions of old coins galore popping out of here. Although there were some, it hasn't panned out like the 1900-1960s virgin ground I was hoping for. Coins were at all kinds of depths...clad quarter at probably 7 inches, the barber dime was only 2 inches down. And today, on my way back to the car I got a perfect quarter signal at about 2 inches. Didn't think it could have been any other thing than a clad quarter. It fell out of the plug and it sure seemed big for a quarter...must be a half? Wait... a large cent??? No idea how it got there. Everything else at this site points to 1900s, so who knows what was here before. No other signs of early 1800s activity here.

Overall at this site got:

3 Mercs
1 Barber dime
1 V nickel
31 wheat cents
3 IHCs
1 Large cent (looks like 1830?)
Junk ring

We really need some rain. Between the rocks and dry soil, digging was a pain!
