This is a fun series to collect. Looks to have been graded by our hosts- I suspect the coin graded well- MS66 possibly 67. Hard to tell from the images.

<< <i>This is a very common coin. But I've never seen one with color like this. This causes me to think its been "helped" to some degree. >>
For what it's worth there's another one (1944 MS65) with very similar toning on eBay right now. In fact, the cert number is off by one, so they must have been stored together.

....in the same Taco Bell napkin? >>
Pretty sure there are no taco bells in Mexico...just sayin'.
I should post over here more, seems like a 15 post thread on any topic is a bid deal.
AT/NT opinions are kind of irrelevant to me. Cool looking coin, common date, cost was minimal, a trusted source saw and sold the coin. It is what it is.
Almost didn't click when I saw "new" and "colorful" in fear of seeing something enameled, colorized or holographic. Really glad it's pretty toning nice newp
FWITW, I just picked up an exceptional colorful 1943 Peso about a month ago. And as crazy as it sounds, I suspect it will grade in the 66 range and possibly higher. The 1943 and 44 are likely the two easiest dates of the series to find nice (MS66 and higher) and with color. I suspect this is NT and the color likely is protecting some imperfections that limited the grade. Still a nice coin

If I were to buy a toned coin from CRO (not that I am advocating it), this one or this one would be my choices. And I collect Mexican!
Edited: I just realized the CRO site doesn't have a permanent link to its coins. The links above now point to different coins than I had in mind. I was trying to link to a Chile "Volcano" 1R and 1/2R.

Hoard the keys.
<< <i>MS64, wasn't concerned about the grade. The color makes the coin! >>
I think the grade is about right (not that it matters on a toned coin like this).
Cool Newp. Congrats.
