Dr. Fong became a good friend of mine and we used to trade all the time when he lived in Indy. Just found out this morning he passed away.
This guy helped me find some of the coolest cards I own. He also had an incredibly impressive collection himself.
Rest in peace Dr. Fong.
Here's a link to a story about him...

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

i'll bet those binder sets are just awesome to look at
we could all use a collector friend like that, no doubt about it
Before anyone thinks this ID was made in poor taste, I made it 2 months ago and based it on the Dr that did my Lasik surgery in Brooklyn last year. Wish I could change it now.

You know, as soon as I read Dr. Fong's story, I remembered your ID and wondered if you both were one in the same. Given you took your handle from your Lasik surgeon, hopefully your CU icon isn't a reflection of how the surgery turned out?
Rest in peace, Dr. Fong. Your story of a young Chinese boy assimilating into American culture by way of baseball cards, which turned into a life long passion, made me smile.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
