Lightly circulated with original skin. Unusual find in Europe as they love to clean coins.

How was it graded over there? The Brits would call it a "Good Very Fine." Will probably 40 here. Like the originality.

Came from Switzerland, called AU which is kind of funny. I figured it for VF35. Paid up for the color and originality and to get some business flowing with the company who has access to nice original gold. Will visit them end of the month.

I find the Brits to be the most aggressive cleaners, French and Swiss are better. Haven't been through Germany, Italy or Spain yet looking for coins. Mostly UK and Switzerland, next trip end of this month back through Geneva.

After looking again.....this is a very strong XF. The band under LIBERTY is unbroken and strong.

    Nice Barber.

Very nice looking coin. I agree with your assessment of a 35...just a little light on feather details but the obverse looks strong and it looks original.

I have no doubt it will look better than the pic when you get it. Nice pick up. Glad it's coming home!

EF 45 I should think, though the reverse is a bit detracting. The cheek and face nice, relatively. Like the coin, and seem to recall seeing it in scrolling through one of those sales.

I actually thought that the reverse had the potential to be quite attractive.

I live in Dublin so the one consolation I have is that I couldn't watch the game and therefore can only scream at the computer rather than subject my two year old to a plethora of new words, all of which he is sure to remember and repeat daily in the presence of his teachers.

The other consolation is the Michigan lost terribly to Notre Dame so I don't have to listen to half of the state trumpeting their team despite their only affiliation to the school being the jacket that they purchased at Wal-Mart. Ahh College Football rivalry.

You can't blame them, unlike State college it can be difficult to get accepted at UM image With the size of the campus at Ann Arbor there are plenty of people who can claim stronger allegiance to UM, only thing is they tend to come from new york/New Jersey image

Nice coin btw, hope the bridge it builds proves fruitful. Classic xf40
