I thought this might be fun.
For the integrity of it, no peeking.
The Rookie cards in 1998 SP Authentic Basketball were serial numbered 1/3500.
Three questions:
1.) Want to guess how many Vince Carter RC's have been graded by PSA and BGS and SGC combined?
2.) What percentage of the total number of printed cards does this represent?
and most importantly.....
3.) What does this mean for the amount of unopened product that still exists from this set?
(I do understand that some of the numbers may be skewed by crack/resubmitted cards. Just play along.)

I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

I don't even collect basketball, but here it goes without any peeking:
1) 2,500 total
2) 2,500/3,500 is approx 71%
3) I would guess if these numbers are about right, then perhaps there isn't much unopened left of this product.
Total guesses on my part. Thanks for the diversion .
2. 105%
3. There are tons left.
I will send a prize to whoever is closest.

2 - around 114%
3 - That any remaining product will take a hit in value
BTW: Cubby=Cub Fan
90%
About half left unopened
3,700. I'm guessing it's more than 100%, that's why you asked.

105.714%

Nothing, as there are not too many people who collect this set.

2. 98.77%
3. There's probably not much unopened left, but don't know how much demand for it there is so probably no huge premium.

I remember those days clearly. I bought a five count lot of PSA 9's for about a grand a month before the explosion began. They went bonkers for a while there and I sold them. Crazy to think of, now.
I remember being mocked unmercifully by an entire room full of people around then when I stated emphatically that Carter wasn't in Kobe's league as a player.

Thanks for the contest. It was interesting to see how many were graded compared to the amount printed.

In the case of a crack/resubmit of a serial #'ed card, does PSA delete the previous grade from the pop reports? And, if not, why the heck not?
