    Looks good from here. And not a bad looking coin at all. Most of this type of early bust quarter are overworn (for lack of a better word), cleaned, repaired, scratched, holed or have some other problem or just do not look great for some reason.

    I'd say it's genuine, and in the VF grade. It was cleaned long ago, but not badly enough to keep it from getting into a VF holder IMO. It is a decent coin, and you don't that many of these available for sale these days.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
