    That's a pretty sweet non-sport non-x-out box collection. Nice.
Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.

    What, no "Here's Bo" boxes?

Better hide them before they disappear.

And by disappear, I may or may not mean I will come by and help you rip them. image

Very nice. The only non-sports cards I ever remember were garbage pail kids. What types of stores were these sold in?

PS - Are you going to turn any of these into wax trays?

Anything to get people to post in your post, unbelievable. image

Btw, nice boxes but I'm a rack guy myself. image

I remember liquor stores, toy stores and card shops having them, but the quanitiy was just so much less.

Nice conversion of your wax boxes into a tray table

Hopefully no one notices that they really are just boxes image

Try some stickers to hold them together

It's a sports card forum, but I look the other way on this non-sport stuff especially Mork and Mindy, well maybe just Mindy. image

Okay, there might be a slight focus on the non-sport here, but there's like 40 sports card boxes in there including a topps baseball run from '80 - '87. Either way let me see if I can come up with some of these requests tonight. image

It is not a set I collect but a 1985 Topps WWF box would look right at home with your set up.

    Nice stuff!

I have a couple packs, but no box.

    But I found these.

I can never get a decent pic of these straight on without lots of glare, but some of you may be able to tell what it is without the labels. This is the only thing have that I actually have on the wall. It's my relaxy place.

I'm digging the eclectic taste, Darren. I would have shredded that Donkey Kong box three decades ago. Btw, what year is that?

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

They were all sent back from psa non authentic

Sadly, we both know those don't exist and the Ricky Schroder RC will have to remain in the cards that never were section. We can only dream that topps picks up on the idea. However, Ricky's mom (step mom?) on the show was played by Erin Grey and I do believe that is her on the cover of the Buck Rodgers box right in the middle of the pic. So there's still a little something for the Silver Spoons enthusiast.

Stephen, I think it's '82. Most of the 80's non sport cards are disappointing when you actually open them imho. Having said that, I did pick up a DK set from kruk just in case I ever thought it was a good idea to dig into a DK box. I don't have any NS racks, but those look like fun and (again imho) are probably the best way to check out the designs of the sets. Aurthur (reggieclevland) might be a better source of info on those. BTW: The box under DK is another DK box. : )

  • Awesome stuff. Digging that 1980 box too!
  • I got all excited hoping to see a Perlorian Cats box. Sadly, there was none to be image

    Great stuff, Darren!

While non-sports boxes were front and center, I promise you the football boxes in the background did not go unnoticed. image

I find myself perusing the non-sports section of BBCE's website, but to date have limited my purchases to 1970's Donruss Super Freaks... a weird meeting of non-sports and sports cards that I decided to collect for some reason.
